[3.3.x] Support Forum • New User Registration Requests Not Going to Admin's Email

Newbie here... I have 'Account activation' set to 'By admin' in the ACP and I have Email 'checked' in the admin account's UCP for 'User requiring activation' in the 'Edit notification options' section of the UCP's 'Board preferences' tab.

Test emails from the 'Email settings' area of the ACP go to the admin account of my hosting domain (eg. admin@myhost.com) just fine. (I'm not using SMTP.) And indeed as long as I remain logged in to the phpBB admin account I almost immediately receive an email when a new user registers.

However, if I logout of the phpBB admin account and another new user tries to register, although they get an immediate standby confirmation email, my admin@myhost.com email never comes through. So I never know that I have a new user to activate.

When I eventually do login to the phpBB admin account for some other reason, only then do I see the activation request in my Notifications and shortly after that get the email. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but it seems that having to login to the phpBB admin account to force the email to send defeats the purpose of having an email option for that purpose. Any thoughts? Thank you.
