In my experience, it's best to have the prosilver light style and a prosilver-dark style.
I found that having a dark css load over the light prosilver css causes a flash of the light style colors when the page is refreshed.
You want your prosilver-dark style to load with using the dark css only. So have a custom dark prosilver style and the default prosilver style.
I have two different styles, light and dark, setup on my test site with a custom extension, not published, that can switch between the two.
If you had two different styles, this extension will eliminate having to go into the upc to switch over from your light and dark prosilver styles.
