The first one (missing field author), you can basically ignore. But both of them fall under items that Google found on your site that could be categorized as "rich content," but aren't being generated as such. Google Web site rich content to get an idea of what Google is looking for, so you'll understand if you want your PHPBB site to take on a more modern Web site appearance or not.
If you do...
For the first, adding SEO Metadata will help flush out the topic's author and a lot more that Google's crawlers can chew on, but not any rich content author(s). For images, Google want's you to help them identify what the images are of by using the descriptive ALT image code. For videos, they're suggesting that you have an extension that will present such videos to your site's and Google's search results viewers that is more visually appealing.
For images, you'll want the Image Alternate Text extension for that, which will give users, moderators and Admins the ability to describe images enclosed in the IMG tag. For videos, you'll want the Magic OGP extension, a PHPBB must-have for modernizing and enrichening PHPBB's look, which Google and your users will appreciate.
